No,  please have them book the reservation at the hotel, the people who get sponsored airfare will be contacted by the Linux Foundation to arrange their "travel", the accommodation should be reserved by the individual but then the room will be placed on the Master bill for those who get "approved" for sponsored travel

When you say "not book any travel", does that also include "not book
any accomodation"?
