Oh, me stupid :) I was running it as regular user. Run as root showed
what was required. But now I got another riddle.

Link Quality=5/5  Signal level=-40 dBm  Noise level=-57 dBm

And link meter in UX shows only one stripe. All other devices in this
room show 5/5 stripes and this laptop under windows also shows full
scale.
