Presumptions are by definition presumptuous ;)
I'd like to help build a project where there *is* that level of
openness, rather than wait & see what is decided in ivory towers. At
least, for everything that there can be (content creation & moderation
in the wiki or Drupal, moderation of forums & mailing lists, packaging &
distribution of software, even commit access to source code).
I wouldn't ask Intel or Nokia to cede control of their product roadmaps
to "the community", but I'd certainly ask them to do as much work as
possible in the open, without the NDA shield, and invite participation
where possible.
In your initial mail, you appear to be speaking from some position of
authority within the project, but I didn't find your entry on
http://wiki.meego.com/Who%27s_who - perhaps you could make clear what
your role is, please?
Thanks!
Dave.
