Your point is reasonable. I commented about the licensing of vBulletin saying that I would also prioritize free software for our web services when that makes sense. Said that, I didn't push the topic hard since I would be of little use helping in any case and Reggie has shown an astonishing record administering and tweaking vBulletin for the Maemo community needs.

At least the first hurdle is passed. Could someone summarize or link to a comparison between phpBB and vBulletin? What do we get extra for a vBulletin license? Any showstopper or clear weakness in phpBB?
PS: I have been using both systems as a user and moderator (phpBB about 10 years ago though - gosh!).
