We had a discussion here of over 40 posts. Perhaps the last conclusive one is this email from Tero Kojo: http://lists.meego.com/pipermail/meego-community/2010-March/000183.html

For what is worth, the 4 of us in this pre-working group are happy about Drupal for the core CMS. If you want to challenge this and discuss, please go ahead. Note that we haven't starte the discussion of services like Downloads or Packages that currently are being powered by Midgard in maemo.org.

The discussion is not over, but Drupal as core CMS is there and it's not there just because.
