The MeeGo Conference Program Committee is happy to announce the first
round of proposals that we accepted for this years conference. We were
impressed by the breadth and depth of the submission and found it hard
to determine which presentations would be the best to create a diverse
and interesting program. Indeed, we found it so hard that we haven't
quite finished creating the program, yet, as we still need to identify a
few remaining proposals to fill a few gaps that we feel still exist in
the program.
Out of 211 submissions we have so far picked 65 for inclusion in the
conference - given the logistics we expect to add about 5 more
presentations in the next week or two.
We are still working on the details regarding BoFs and hands-on
sessions - we hope to have information about these soon too.
The accepted proposals have been marked "Accepted" on the conference
website (you can see the status when you view your proposal at
http://conference2010.meego.com).
Also, email to the submitters of accepted proposals should be going out
shortly (but because of an implementation quirk of the website, those
emails are going to the people who submitted the proposals, not all the
presenters).
Thanks to everyone who submitted proposals - as a Program Committee this
is the best problem to have: deciding among many great proposals which
to chose for the best possible conference.
For the Program Committee
