I have successfully loaded the opensource brcm80211 driver kernel module on Lenovo S10-3t and is able to connect to wireless. But the driver fails to reconnect if the screen is locked and also it crashes the system on next reboot.
However, I have the same tainting problem with the proprietary driver (latest release) available in Broadcom's website.

Subject: [MeeGo-community] Broadcom BCM 43xx Wifi with Meego 1.0.1.90
Does anybody have success getting the Broadcom Wifi driver for BCM43xx to work on the recent MeeGo 1.0.1.90?
I installed the netbook image on my Asus EeePc 1015 who is using the BRCM 4313 (0x14e4:0x4727). The kernel object compiles without any problems however it cannot be loaded because of missing symbols. The security module is not the issue. The module lib80211_crypt_tkip is loaded.
dmesg snippet:
[ 3345.634935] wl: module license 'unspecified' taints kernel.
[ 3345.635508] wl: Unknown symbol lock_is_held (err 0)
[ 3345.635836] wl: Unknown symbol lockdep_rcu_dereference (err 0)
[ 3345.638942] wl: Unknown symbol debug_lockdep_rcu_enabled (err 0)
[ 3345.639606] wl: Unknown symbol debug_locks (err 0)
[ 3345.639925] wl: Unknown symbol rcu_sched_lock_map (err 0)
[ 3433.184248] lib80211_crypt: registered algorithm 'TKIP'
The kernel tainting is expected since it is a proprietary driver. However, I cannot find an explanation why these symbols cannot be located by the module. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Rudi
