[MeeGo-community] Simple install of google-chrome beta (and flash/java/talk) on MeeGo 1.2 Netbook

(1) Add google RPM repository to zypper:

(4) Add Sun JDK and Java Browser Plugin (you may prefer the Sun JRE if
you're not doing java devel).

Extract jdk-6u24-linux-i586.rpm from RPM DL at
https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/CDS-CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail-Start?ProductRef=jdk-6u24-oth-JPR@CDS-CDS_Developer
(chmod a+rx the binary, run the binary (not as root) to extract the
rpm's w/o intstalling, delete the sun-javadb rpms, leaving
jdk-6u24-linux-i586.rpm ...)

Install:

[root at npm-desktop RPM]# rpm -ivh jdk-6u24-linux-i586.rpm

Now start the google-chrome browser and you should be able to do all
the things you expect on the web, like watching youtube videos, flash
or java apps, etc.

To see the installed plugins, put URL "about:plugins" into the browser

PS: After installing the newer and more featureful google-chrome
browser, you may want to delete the open-source chromium browser that
comes with MeeGo:
