Call them what they are! Applications, Music, Movies...a la iTunes. I think that Apple, as the largest store of it's kind, has somewhat set the standards in naming for users.
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding - just jumping into the conversation.

I'm glad Quim has brought this up, as this is a really important first step
and not only for creating the working group name. If we first look at the
user experience around what users will actually be downloading, especially
in relation to the AppUp and OVI stores, this could help better name it.
Probably the most important consideration is to not confuse users between
the offerings.
