Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I'm still hearing reports about 3rd
party applications (not using libmeegotouch) getting black screens of death,
I don't think it's just an SDK issue because the latest reporter at least was
using qemu.

This seems like a pretty serious issue, and I can't find any current bug report
on it, despite it still (seeming?) to exist.
