You don't need to even have that. The autotools/cmake have enough
tools behind that with a minimal effort you can generate those
automatically. At least in the higher level applications. The whole
point is to help the developers to work as well to offer freedom to
users to gain access to whatever package/apps/ etc their soul desires.
Is it impossible? My answer is not. Will it make a difference? I think
so. Is it insane? I don't know... remains for posterity to judge.
