merging two lines so there are some hiccups. But still, if you look at
the amount of work and deal, MeeGo is mostly Maemo 6 is mostly Moblin 2.x.

Now, from the application developer point of view it's in many senses
starting from scratch. The linear evolution would have been to start
from Scratchbox (pun intended)  ;) But then I'm not sure whether we
would have convinced developer to focus on MeeGo insted of the platforms
mentioned above.

Now QtCreator or web development tools like Aptana come into play, and
for the majority of developers using them 'packaging' should be the last
thing to worry about.
