Arjan,

Do you know if BMC#588 affected all devices or just Netbook?  Was it a core issue?  If yes, what was the core fix?

Depended on the image you are using, it is possible "fixed" but "not in your image". See BMC#588.

MeeGo won't boot on our boards that have no battery backup for BIOS if we don't use BIOS setup to set the time every time we boot.  Can anybody tell us why MeeGo won't boot if the BIOS time is not set right?  It seems like it has something to do with the file system.  We did not have this problem with Moblin.

Nor do I understand meego's debug messages

I installed meego, didn't boot just meego screen
I reboot [space] to get to meego menu (cause timeout is 0), [tab] to mod boot line add '3' remove 'quiet'
I saw file system error I did fsck
Reboot space tab etc
Didn't work, I reinstalled meego,
I saw the same error

I decided to try a different hard disk repeat all of above

I finally noticed something earlier in debug msgs, I saw something about the future  (seen this in tar -x,,.. and still tar worked, and doesn't)

No real idea what to do next, decided to go into bios and change the date, and now meego boots

I know I sometimes leave out important facts, I guess I could have provided all those details in an earlier email . . . .
