This is just a fact of life. I'm sure that there are many interested
parties who wouldn't be able to attend due to work who will appreciate
this timing, just as you dislike it. It's not possible to please all
people, all the time.

I'd like to echo Tero's sentiments in closing. The process can always
be refined later, but the ball has to start rolling, and preferably
sooner than later.
