Worth noting that Maemo5 (Fremantle) had an eds QtContacts backend of
sorts (see: http://www.qt.gitorious.org/qt-mobility/contacts/trees/master/plugins/contacts/maemo5).

I'm not sure what sort of state it's in as to usability with regular
eds, but it could possibly be useful as a starting point..
