[MeeGo-ivi] GPLv3 options

It seems we're finding GPLv3 code in the Meego 1.0.1 package set (I assume this is known(?)). We can't deliver with GPLv3 code in IVI. For many packages we've done what we can, such as downgrade a package to a version that doesn't have a GPLv3 license. For some though the choice isn't as simple.
A specific example is the gvfs trash daemon, which is GPLv3, however downgrading to a GPLv3-less version then brings in a HAL dependency and dependency hell.
A similar situation exists with Nautilius and the gnome settings daemon.
Does anybody have any recommendations?
Do we *have* to have the same versions to maintain "MeeGo compliance"? (Is there a link to compliance specifics?)
Can some of these packages be moved into profiles for other devices (out of core and put in handset and netbook)? ...and not put in IVI profile?
What influence can MeeGo have on the (non) adoption of GPLv3? Does the Linux Foundation understand the concerns?
This is a big topic, I'm concerned with the direction of things...will we eventually hit a brick wall? (dependencies)
Regards,
Pete
