We scrubbed all the other stuff out of the driver as it was not being
used and not needed (as well as in places wrong for upstream standards).

It might make sense to put the interrupt back *if* it is being used and
needed, otherwise I would just submit any needed changes to the
existing slimmed down driver to support the 1423
