It would be another DEB vs. RPM flame, but that I was referring to are
dh_*, dbs, cdbs, and so on.
in deb every packager can have his own way of generating output. In
RPM world there are agreements that packagers
should follow and ways to do advanced things if really needed and
can't be done other way.
But it does not mean that exceptions should become a rule.

It's based on many decades of experience of many people already
participated in that discussion.

Put effort to make them better, but in constructive way. Screams "it's
all crap!" and "It's not written anywhere" is not constructive.
