That's up to the media application to decide, hence many media
applications have 2 delete functions: "unlist" and "remove physical media".

Given the current size, not a huge concern. Plus, having media show up
in my media player but unable to find it in the file manager is a pretty
bad thing - something which annoys the hell out of me in some other OS's.
