Hi Fathi !
As you can see in the project devel:tools:building, we inherit the build
targets for these from build.opensuse.org. Thus we can build for all distros
listed active on build.opensuse.org:
CentOS_5
Debian_5.0
Fedora_10
Fedora_11
Fedora_12
Fedora_13
Fedora_9
Mandriva_2008
Mandriva_2009
Mandriva_2009.1
Mandriva_2010
openSUSE_11.0
openSUSE_11.1
openSUSE_11.2
openSUSE_Factory
RHEL_4
RHEL_5
SLES_9
SLE_10
SLE_11
xUbuntu_10.04
xUbuntu_8.04
xUbuntu_8.10
xUbuntu_9.04
xUbuntu_9.10
Your point is right, we should set a policy. EOL distros get usually quickly
removed on build.opensuse.org.
$Release and $Release-1 should be fine. E.g.:
openSUSE 11.3(upcoming) + 11.2
Fedora13 + Fedora12
Mandriva_2010 + Mandriva_2009.1
Debian_5.0
Ubuntu 10.04 + 9.10
Q: RHEL/SLE/CentOS ?
The tricky point is the mixed deb/rpm + inter-distro packaging. So this is not
trivial, but manageable. Ping if you need pointers.
Best,
Jan-Simon
