[MeeGo-SDK] Install SDK on 64-bit debian system?

Is it possible to setup the handset sdk on Intel 64 (debian) box? The images on the "getting started" page are 32 bit. It refers to building from source on the qemu tools page, but that page only seems to refers to qemu (which I was able to build successfully). I actually am more interested in xephyr but would like to try qemu as well. I have managed to setup xephyr using VirtualBox on another 32-bit Windows box but it is very slow and I was unsuccessful at getting a helloworld app to run as described in the tutorial (xephyr window goes white).
