[MeeGo-SDK] Introduction

Hello everybody,

I've been involved in embedded Linux development for some eight years
now. Before that I worked in server side environment. My first touch
with embedded was highly secretive project in Nokia which later turned
into Maemo. During the research I invented Scratchbox which is in use
with current Maemo and also in a few other projects.

Back then we did not have Qemu and all the devices were really _slow_
for compiling. Our group was fairly small and we did not have the
possibility to fix all the packages to cross-compile. We needed some
more generic solution.

I believe world has changed since. Also I did not have the possibility
to drive Scratchbox to the direction I would have wanted it to go. In
addition to these facts I believe I have personally grown to understand
the whole concept in wider sense, from different user groups point of
view. MeeGo is mine (and hopefully many others) possibility to create
something better. Something that answers to the actual needs of the
developers and brings something that no-other platform has!

My role in MeeGo is SDK Project Manager at Nokia side. This means that I
will be coordinating SDK projects inside Nokia around MeeGo.

Best regards,
Veli Kaksonen
