Dear members,

I am trying to find documentations that would answer some very basic
touchscreen interface questions.

1) How many fingers (max) are being supported in Meego?

2) What finger information is required to be passed from the touch
controller (X, Y, Z, etc.)

3) Are touch gestures being handles by Meego (zoom in, pan, etc.), or
does the touch controller needs to handle gestures?

4) What is the complete list of gestures that are supported by MeeGo?

5) Can custom gestures be added on top of the standard gestures?

6) How?

7) Can MeeGo handle finger hovering? How does it tell hover from
finger?

8) Can MeeGo handles stylus? How does it tell stylus from finger?

9) Does MeeGo requires a communication standard between the touch
controller and the OS (I2C, SPI, USB.)

10) Is palm rejection handled by the MeeGo OS, or does the touch
controller must filter large touch objects?

11) Are there touch specs in MeeGo (if yes, what are there:

a. Accuracy

b. Report rate

c. Finger separation

d. Linearity

e. Others?

12) How are these being tested (is there a spec or documents)?

13) I am told that MeeGo is Linux based. If my touch interface is
compatible with Linux (Android for example), will it work with MeeGo?

14) If not, where can I find the touch communication spec/standard that
would allow me to interface from the touch IC controller to the MeeGo OS

Thanks

- Nate
