Qt isn't limited in the amount of touch points, so it's really up to the 
hardware.

Coincidentally I _just_ finished the first version of the MeeGo Touch 
Gestures & Multitouch overview, you can look at it here once the docs 
are updated next (currently only twice a day): 
http://apidocs.meego.com/mtf/gestures.html

The overview is however at a quite higher level, mainly targeting 
application developers, than the questions asked here.
