Thanks, that got me into the right direction. On MeeGo, removing
meegotouch-inputmethodkeyboard did the trick.

I still have some visual artifact now (some blank area at the top of the
screen where the keyboard presumably would be), but that doesn't
interfere with using the apps, so I am happy camper again :-)
