------------------------

 Hi,

I Installed Qt 4.7.0 on ubuntu10.04 and able to build libmeegotouch and
meegotouch-theme components

But while building input method framework and keyboard components facing
compilation problems related MReactionmap (installed all the dependency
packages related to gconf, glibs x11 etc..) Again this is dependent on
feedback and feedback reaction components.

Please provide the suggestions for building meegoinputmethods and keyboard
components.

Regards

Naresh

Hi,

You should rebuild and install proper "meegotouch-feedback" and
"meegotouch-feedbackreactionmaps" packages.

The installed packages:
meegotouch-feedbac
meegotouch-feedbackreactionmaps
meegotouch-feedbackreactionmaps-devel
meegotouch-feedback-devel

This is an off-topic post. This mailing list is for the
development of MeeGo.

To discuss MTF on a non-MeeGo OS, it may be more appropriate
on the MTF's mailing list:

 http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-touch-dev

Thanks,
Gabriel

Why is it off-topic? MeeGo Touch Framework is a part of MeeGo isn't it?
Doesn't one discuss MeeGo software on the MeeGo dev list?

"Developing libraries on Ubuntu" and "Porting libraries from
the MeeGo project to Ubuntu" is not even remotely in the
topic.

The MTF is not a core part of MeeGo, and it has its own
mailing list.

Platform API, still. But anyways, it's on-topic if you ask me.

Trying to compile the stuff on some Linux distro makes perfect sense to
me. How else would you start to develop for MeeGo? I wouldn't be
surprised if people asked about how to compile MeeGo stuff on Windows or
MacOS, either.

So until we have a dedicated MeeGo Input Methods ML I would encourage
interested folks to keep using precisely this ML. You'll get more help
here than on the MeeGo Touch ML.

Also, there's hope that compiling the MeeGo Input Methods framework on
your desktop becomes significantly easier soon.

regards,
Michael
