Then how to set the Qt style?

There is no qtconfig tool in meego OS, is it invalid for Qt-4.7?

Is there any document to explain the input method related things for Qt-4.7?

Hi,

It depends on selected Qt style too. As far as I remember default Qt styling plugin shows VKB after second click on text entry.
Also it should be noted that plain Qt application could use VKB without linking with libmeegotouch, because MInputContext provides standard Qt interface for input method.

Hi,

The behaviour in plain Qt is bit different. With plain Qt text editor, you need to tap to a focused text editor first to get it shown.

Hi Mohammad,

Thanks for you quick reply.

I use:

meego-im-uiserver &
export QT_IM_MODULE=MInputContext
qtdemo

But the VKB is not showing, could you make VKB worked using that method, or I miss something?

Hi,

You can set the QT_IM_MODULE environment variable with MInputContext

Hi all,

How could make QT applications use the VKB provided by meego-im-uiserver?

Is there some configurations such as GTK_IM_MODULE for gtk based applications? I try to set the QT_IM_MODULE but do not know what should be set.

Or should I have to set the request in the source code? I see one way using such as "inputContext->filterEvent( QEvent::RequestSoftwareInputPanel);"

And for the GTK based applications, I found that the applications all could use VKB directly even I set the GTK_IM_MODULE to null.

Any one could make me clear for this? Thanks in advance.
