Dominig -- thanks for the information and response.

Currently, I'm busy at the application level (*) so I was hoping
someone else already did all this :-) . If I had the hardware & time &
hdmi-input enabled TV I might be a little more inclined., but right
now a lot of my bandwidth is taken by the tablet-UX and QML that I'll
be running on the N950 I'm supposed to be getting, alongside the MeeGo
Tablet.

Fortunately:

Here's a "product" version of such a platform claiming to run MeeGo

Hopefully more products like the above will be available as low-priced
dev (or user) platforms.

PS: (*) http://wiki.meego.com/tubelet-and-cutetube-port
Please test my port of cutetube-qml (qmltube) against the MeeGo TV
platform (works on MeeGo 1.2 Netbook and Tablet, and Fedora; I'm
hoping someone from MeeGo-TV says "yep, and it even works with
hardware video acceleration" and our proprietary codecs..." [[Because
browsing youtube, dailymotion, vimeo, and some other hidden feature
sites :-) is of interest on MeeGo TV's? ]]

" svn checkout http://ytd-meego.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/playground/qmltube "
" qtcreator qmltube/qmltube.pro " ...

I'm also using this work as platform for adding my search/cueing
augmentation that I spoke to you about at the MeeGo conference. I
figure I should just implement what I'm talking about instead of
trying to describe it...
